What ROMEO.jl’s 3D unwrap! does after the growth (src/unwrapping.jl, src/algorithm.jl):
region merging and correction, then, with correct_global, wrapped .-= 2π·median(round(φ[mask] / 2π)). Its multi-echo modes call that same 3D unwrap! for the template echo and for every
echo in individual mode, so all three paths finish here.
