pub enum PreludeLabelling {
Auto,
Slices,
Volume,
}Expand description
How the initial regions are labelled (§2.4, §4.1): which voxels of one phase partition count as connected.
Variants§
Auto
FSL prelude’s default: Slices when the volume is more than
AUTO_SLICES_ABOVE voxels along either in-plane axis (the first two), otherwise
Volume. Every in-vivo acquisition is over that size, so in practice
this is slice labelling; small test volumes get FSL’s full-3D labelling, as FSL gives
them. The rule was found by running FSL’s binary on volumes of different shapes (module
docs).
Slices
Label each partition’s connected components within each slice (4-connected in the
first two axes’ plane, one slice of the third axis at a time), then merge the regions in
3D. FSL’s --labelslices, and its default on volumes over AUTO_SLICES_ABOVE voxels
in-plane: the planar restriction of the report’s §4.1.
Volume
Label each partition’s 6-connected components over the whole volume, then merge them.
FSL prelude -f; the algorithm as the report’s §2.4 states it.
