Whether a rule is the original authors’ setting or a reasoned recommendation (see the module docs, Two kinds of rule). Fixed by the rule’s Strength (Strength::kind).

Variants

Reference

The original authors’ setting: their code, paper or README does or instructs it, without a reason why it is needed or better. A host shows it, labelled as the authors’ setting, and never preselects or bulk-applies it.

Reasoned

Needed or better for the reason in Rule::reason: a hard requirement, a known failure, the authors’ stated reason, or a QSM.rs measurement. A host preselects it.
